Nargis Fakhri Set to Sizzle in a Special Telugu Song

Bollywood actress Nargis Fakhri will make her onscreen debut in Telugu with Nenu Ready, to be released in theatres in the second week of June. Widely recognized for her strong fashion sense and style evolution, Nargis will be seen in the film in a special song. “Her charm and oomph factor in the song will be liked by the audience,” director Trinadha Rao Nakkina, who is known for blockbusters like Ravi Teja’s Dhamaka, said, sharing a poster of Nargis in a shimmery silver outfit. The dance number is expected to be released in the first week of June.

Missed out on a Telugu film earlier

In 2024, Nargis shot for her role of Mughal princess Roshanara Begum in Pawan Kalyan’s Hari Hara Veera Mallu. However, her portions were saved for the second part of the film. As a result, her Telugu debut, which was supposed to happen last year, got postponed. She is finally set for a grand debut with Nenu Ready, fronted by Havish and Kavya Thapar. There has been active buzz in film circles regarding her rumoured appearance in a special number in director Gopichand Malineni’s upcoming film with Nandamuri Balakrishna (tentatively titled #NBK111). However, nothing has been confirmed so far.

Her performance in Rockstar evokes nostalgia

For many cinema lovers, the American actress remains permanently etched in memory as Heer from her debut film Rockstar. Even years after its release, her performance in the musical drama continues to evoke deep nostalgia among her core fanbase. In a 2021 interview, Nargis revealed that she and actor-producer Uday Chopra had dated for five years. She expressed regret over keeping it a secret at the time, explaining that she had been advised by others to keep her personal life quiet. Speaking to a national daily, she spoke highly of him, calling him a “beautiful soul” and the “most beautiful human” she met during her time in India.
