Amidst the buzz for his upcoming project, the actor took a moment to look back at his career. On May 23, Nagarjuna reminisced about two of his most special films, Vikram and Manam. This specific calendar date holds a deeply emotional and historic significance for the Akkineni family. Taking to social media, the superstar star shared his heartfelt thoughts on this day. He thanked his fans for showering him with blessings and love. The actor recalled that years ago, May 23 gave him the opportunity to release his very first film, Vikram (1986). It was the day he first put on makeup and stepped before the camera as a leading man.

The date gained even deeper emotional significance years later with the release of Manam (2014), a screenplay-based fantasy film for the family audience. The Ninne Pelladatha actor expressed immense pride in producing and releasing this masterpiece, which served as the final on-screen appearance of his legendary father, Akkineni Nageswara Rao. The beautiful film brought together three generations of the family, including Naga Chaitanya.

Contrary to public perception, Nag never consulted his parents after a point. ‘I don’t consult anyone – not my mother, not my father, anyone – about my work. And I must add that neither dad nor mom interfere in my work. Frankly, I love my independence too much to give it up,” the actor said in one of his earlier interviews. Nagarjuna expressed his deepest gratitude to the fans who have stood by him through all these years. Known as Tollywood’s Celluloid Scientist, he has successfully delivered classics ranging from Siva and Annamayya to Manam and Sogaade Chinni Nayana.
