Social media was recently flooded with worrying reports suggesting that veteran superstar Amitabh Bachchan had been hospitalised. However, he has subtly put all those rumours to rest by sharing a metaphorical and cryptic note on his official blog, leaving his fans completely relieved.
The panic began after a report claimed that Amitabh Bachchan had been hospitalised since May 16. The report stated that the actor was admitted to the VIP wing of a Mumbai hospital due to stomach-related issues, adding that his son, Abhishek Bachchan, had also visited him. This news left fans deeply puzzled and anxious, especially since Amitabh had just greeted his well-wishers outside his home on Sunday, looking perfectly healthy.
In the wee hours of Wednesday, Amitabh took to his blog to address the situation in his signature style. Writing a metaphorical note in Hindi, he expressed, “Cheel jab howe shant to bhaiya, tote bolan suru karen ir bir fatte, kahan, chal hamau, pilave suru karen!!!! bajre di roti kha di, fu padiyon da, saag re munh mein dalan lagai jaise , bolan lage kaag re!!!!!”
When translated, his note reads, “When the eagles calm down/are quiet, the parrots start talking. Hey Veer Fateh, let’s start feeding you! I’ve eaten the millet bread and the fried vegetables. As soon as I put it in my mouth, the crows start talking!” Fans quickly deciphered the message as a direct swipe at the false reports circulating about his health, breathing a collective sigh of relief that the actor is doing well and enjoying his meals at home.
Further clarifying the situation, a report by ETimes on Wednesday morning confirmed that the actor’s visit to the hospital was nothing more than a routine medical appointment. The source told, “Mr Bachchan did visit Nanavati Hospital on Saturday; however, it was a regular check-up, which he goes for every month, and he returned home after that.”
The source shut down the hospitalisation claims, stating, “The news is absolutely false. He is absolutely fine, and after his regular hospital visit on Saturday, he was back home and was also seen driving his car from Jalsa to Janak the next day. He is currently at home.”
