Blondshell, the solo alt-pop project of Sabrina Teitelbaum, is teasing her follow-up to last year’s If You Asked for a Picture. While the album hasn’t been announced yet, she’s previewing it with the new song “Heart Has to Work So Hard,” which you can listen to below.
“This song is really about friendship and betrayal, getting stuck in a dynamic and letting things fester,” Teitelbaum explained in a statement. “It’s about pain and confusion — no one trains you for the ups and downs of a friendship between two women — but it’s also about a love so enduring that you find compassion no matter what.”
Blondshell has also mapped out a fall tour that boasts the biggest headlining dates of her career. After live sets at Bonnaroo and Summerfest, she will head out across North America and Europe for her own run. It starts in San Diego on October 16 and wraps up in Dublin on December 17, with Bully, Prewn, Starcleaner Reunion, TTSSFU, NoSo, and Theatre opening select shows.
