The nominations for the 97th Academy Awards are out and it seems like horror movies are having a second. Among the many nominees is Linda Muir, the Costume Designer on Robert Eggers’ gothic horror movie Nosferatu. Her work on the Lily-Rose Depp, Invoice Skarsgard, and Aaron Taylor-Johnson starrer is a masterclass in interval dressing.
Filmfare caught up with the ace costume designer proper after the Oscar nominations had been unveiled. Reacting to the pleased information, Muir says, “Nicely, it is fairly thrilling and fabulous. It is the personification of an enormous kiss for everybody within the costume design division.”
“It is also for Robert Eggers as a result of we share this with him. He is such an incredible chief and he brings out the very best in everybody,” she provides.
Opening up about working with Eggers, Muir shares additional, “It is uncommon for a director, an auteur to take action a lot analysis within the writing section. He retains the fact of the interval in thoughts whereas writing. He brings all of that info on the very starting of our collaboration. And what a present is that!”
Nosferatu is at the moment in theatres.
