Hema Malini was accompanied by her daughter, Ahana Deol, who broke down as her mother walked up to the stage to receive the prestigious honour. For the special occasion, the veteran actress chose a pink saree with a silver border. She completed the look with a statement choker necklace, keeping her appearance elegant and traditional.
Ahead of the ceremony, the actress told HT City, “It’s an emotional moment for me. Ahana is with me. Esha wanted to come but could not make it here. The entire family is happy. Sunny, Bobby, everyone is aware of this, and it’s a big moment for all of us.”
Dharmendra passed away on November 24, 2025, after a brief period of illness. His final cinematic appearance was in the film Ikkis, directed by Sriram Raghavan, which was released on January 1, 2026.
