The Royals received a royal reception from the audience, quickly becoming a highly watched romantic drama on the OTT platform. Now, with production officially on the floor, the beloved Morpur family is all set to return with their dynamic chemistry and chaotic drama once again with Season 2.
Under the direction of Nitya Mehra and Tanuj Chopra, the cast, including Ishaan Khatter, Zeenat Aman, Sakshi Tanwar, Vihaan Samat and Kavya Trehan, will all reprise their famous roles, bringing back their characters, which fans undeniably fell in love with. While new faces will also be making their debut in the franchise, the information is, for the time being, under wraps.
The creators of The Royals, Rangita Pritish Nandy and Ishita Pritish Nandy, spoke about their show, addressing the love which it has received. They said, “Morpur has clearly found a place in the hearts of audiences far beyond its palace walls, and we couldn’t be happier.”
They added, “The love audiences have shown The Royals, in India and across the world, has made our journey with the show all the more special. We’re excited to return to this world of larger-than-life characters, complicated relationships and a family that never runs short of surprises.”
They also spoke a bit more about what we as viewers can expect from The Royals Season 2. They continued, “With Season 2, we’re looking forward to taking the story forward, bringing back the characters audiences have come to love, and turning up the romance, humour and family drama. There’s so much more to explore in Morpur, and we can’t wait for audiences to join us for another season of love, laughter and royally entertaining chaos!”
The Royals Season 2 will continue on a grander scale than before, with more kingdoms unfolding, new alliances being made, new rivals being faced, and fresher romances brewing.
