Peddi: Ram Charan Braves Injuries, to Undergo Wrist Surgery

Ram Charan pushed his body to the absolute limit for Peddi, a film that reportedly demanded even more physical effort from him than RRR. The intense shooting schedules, spread across nearly 180 working days, required extreme physical exertion. To help him cope with the strain, a dedicated physiotherapist was stationed on set throughout the shoot. Such rigorous support became essential because Charan portrays three physically demanding avatars in the film, a wrestler, a cricketer, and a sprinter.

Ram Charan injured while filming wrestling sequences

The physically intense role, reportedly inspired by a real-life personality director Buchi Babu Sana encountered in his village, had earlier resulted in a serious injury. In March, Charan reportedly injured himself while filming a high-voltage wrestling sequence.

The accident required immediate surgery near the region above his eye. Following the successful procedure, his father Chiranjeevi publicly thanked the medical team for their timely intervention and expertise, admitting that the family had gone through an anxious phase during the incident.

Ram Charan to undergo wrist surgery

The makers of Peddi have now revealed that Ram Charan is set to undergo another medical procedure in the coming days. The actor reportedly needs surgery on his wrist. Sources say Charan had been enduring persistent wrist pain for quite some time. However, he chose to postpone the treatment until the completion of the film’s shooting schedule.

Production team at ease

The makers of Peddi have reportedly stated that Ram Charan has remained calm throughout the challenging process, with his confidence stemming from his belief in the film’s strong content.

The team is also said to be relaxed financially, as the film’s business has already been successfully closed across territories. This has allowed the makers to enjoy the pre-release phase without additional pressure.

Peddi stars Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor, with music composed by AR Rahman. The action drama is scheduled to hit theatres worldwide on June 4, with grand premieres planned for the night of June 3.
